Contract

Your contract of employment will be determined by a number of factors such as the number of hours that you will work, how frequently you will work and the job that you will be doing. Is contract is subject to a 3 month probationary period and the receipt of 2 satisfactory written references. Some jobs, if working with children, will also require a satisfactory Disclosure check.

Everything in your contract will be explained when you join us and undergo your Just ASK induction programme.

Salary

Blonde woman Normally your salary will be paid in to your bank account at the end of every month. Again, the type of contract that you are employed on determines this. The salary will be agreed with you if an offer of employment is made. We normally review salaries at the end of each calendar year. Your entitlement to Bank holiday or overtime payments will be made clear in your contract.

There is no salary banding in LivingWell, as we believe we should be paying a fair and reasonable salary for the local areas where we have a health club.

LivingWell & Hilton Hotels Discounts

As part of the Hilton Group, team members are eligible for substantial discounts on Hilton Hotel accommodation and food & beverages. Accommodation for LivingWell team members at a Hilton Hotel in the UK is currently just £15pp per night including Breakfast or US$25 abroad!! Many hotels also offer 50% discount on food & beverage.

In recognition of commitment and loyalty with LivingWell team members are awarded vouchers based on the following periods of service:

3 years £100
5 years £250
10 years £500
15 years £750
20 years £1,000

Save as You Earn (SAYE)

The SAYE scheme provides team members, after a 6 month qualifying period, the opportunity to participate in a savings contract. These contracts are for either 3 or 5 years duration and allow you to either purchase shares at the end of the term or take out your savings as cash alongside a guaranteed tax-free bonus. The price at which the shares can be purchased is calculated at the time of the grant.

Holidays

All team members are entitled to paid holidays and entitlement increases with continuous service.

Pension Scheme

LivingWell offers team members a tax efficient way of savings towards their retirement with a pension scheme. The Hilton Group Pension Plan aims to provide you with a pension at age 65 of 1/80th of your final pensionable salary for each year of membership. Currently, contribution to the plan on joining the scheme is 4.5% of pensionable salary. Full details of eligibility criteria and scheme benefits are outlined when you join LivingWell.

OWN Share Plan

On completion of 12 months service, team members automatically receive an invitation to join the plan along with a booklet explaining full details of the scheme. This scheme allows team members to buy salary shares in Hilton Group by making a contribution from salary on a pre-tax basis. Furthermore for every two shares that a team member purchases, LivingWell will give one bonus share FREE!.

LivingWell offers team members access to a 24-hour, 365 day, confidential advice, information and counselling service. This service is fully funded by LivingWell.

When you join LivingWell, we don't just look at you for who you are now - we look at you for who you could be in the future. We see training & development as an absolute necessity - there's no lip service paid to it in LivingWell! We see it as a necessity because in order for us to deliver great service to our members and each other we have to feel comfortable and confident in our roles and the only way to achieve that is by making sure each and everyone of us knows and has the right skills to do it effectively.

You'll see our commitment from Day 1 when we'll introduce you to LivingWell and the team members you will be working with. We call this our Just ASK! Programme because quite literally if you have a query all you have to do is ask... Just ASK incorporates a specific training programme detailing the various areas of your job that you need to be competent in.

All of our programmes are interactive, educational and the important ingredient FUN! When we recognise we don't have the necessary skill internally we work hard to find the right company to work with - a company who shares our ways of working and values. This is most evident through the success of our Vocational Qualification programme. Over the past 18 months we have worked in true partnership with Lifetime Health & Fitness resulting in more than 500 team members achieving a nationally recognised Qualification. We have found this approach to not only enhance learning opportunities for team members but for them to also feel more confident in their roles.
